What is Picoway?

Picoway is a state-of-the-art laser technology used for tattoo removal, pigmentation correction, and skin revitalization. It is the world's first and only three-wavelength beauty laser: 532nm, 785nm, and 1064nm, with high peak power and ultra-short pulse duration, delivers ultra-short pulses of energy in picoseconds, allowing for precise targeting and minimal damage to surrounding tissue.

The Science Behind PicoWay

PicoWay laser has an intelligent dual wavelength (532nm/1064nm). Unlike traditional lasers that use ``photothermal effects`` which can easily damage surrounding skin tissues and nerves, PicoWay laser uses ``photoacoustic effects`` to target specific skin problems, resulting in fewer treatment sessions, higher clearance rate, increased comfort, shorter recovery time, and reduced side effects compared to traditional lasers.

Benefits of PicoWay

Reduce Appearance of Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Picoway uses ultra-short pulses of laser energy to stimulate collagen production, which helps to plump and firm the skin. The treatment also promotes the growth of new, healthy skin cells, which can improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The precision of the laser allows for targeted treatment of specific areas, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin.

Melasma / Hyperpigmentation

With strong energy pulses it can break up excess pigment in the skin. Targeting melanin without demaging the surrounding tissue.

Removes Tattoos

Using the unique picoseconds it can break up tattoo ink into tiny particles and eliminated through our immune system.

Minimize Acne Scars

Targets and breaks scar tissue and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. Smoothes out the surface of the skin and reduce the appearance of acne scars.

Post-Care Instructions

1.Avoid scratching or picking at the skin and allow the skin to naturally renew for optimal results.

2.Avoid sun exposure.

3.Keep treated area clean, hydrated with medical-graded face mask and water.

4.Apply recommended skincare post-care products.

How often should I undergo PicoWay?

The general recommendation is to undergo 3-4 treatments with an interval of 3-4 weeks between each treatment, which may be adjusted according to the situation. In addition, since the degree and depth of each type of pigmented lesion are different, the physician will adjust the most suitable energy for you based on your skin condition, so the treatment effect will also vary.

Advantage of PicoWay

The three main indications for treatment are melanin, atrophic scars, and wrinkles. PicoWay ultra-pico laser has a more significant effect on a single treatment than conventional lasers. It is less likely to create wounds and scars on the skin, and postoperative redness and swelling disappear quickly. It is less likely to cause side effects such as hyperpigmentation, and can stimulate the regeneration of collagen in the skin, presenting a rejuvenating effect on the skin.

Suitable Candidate

1. Patients with fine wrinkles, freckles, sunspots, acne scars, acne marks, age spots, chloasma, and red/black birthmarks on their faces can all use the PicoWay super picosecond laser for cosmetic purposes.
2. Patients with dull and uneven skin tone, tattooed skin, and other similar conditions can also use the PicoWay laser, which has three wavelengths that can target all colors of tattoos.
3. Various pigmentary skin diseases, including freckles, sunspots, chloasma, seborrheic keratosis, and acne marks.
4. Facial rejuvenation: fine facial wrinkles, dullness, and uneven skin tone.

Picoway vs Picosure Pro

Both Picoway and Picosure Pro use picosecond laser technology for tattoo removal and skin revitalization. However, Picoway offers a larger treatment area and shorter pulse duration, resulting in faster treatment times and less discomfort. It is important to consult with a qualified provider to determine which option is best for your specific needs.
