Turn Back Time & Restore Youthful Skin With Ultherapy

What is Ultherapy?

Utilizing the power of ultrasound energy, ultherapy is a non-surgical cosmetic technique that stimulates the skin's natural production of collagen, improving its firmness and tone. The treatment is safe, and commonly performed on the face, neck, and chest, offering durable outcomes that can persist for over two years.

The principle of Ultherapy

Ultherapy uses high-intensity focused ultrasound to alter the internal structure of the skin and guide laser beams to increase skin elasticity at specific levels that require more collagen, achieving a firming, lifting, and tightening effect on loose skin.

What does Ultherapy do?

Smooth Eye Bags, Reduce Fine Lines

Thermage delivers energy beneath the skin to promote collagen production, providing and tightening and lifting effect to the eye area

Improve and Soften Facial Contour Features

Thermage delivers energy that can reach the SMAS, dissolving additional fat cells in the jaw area. At the same time, it can treat sagging skin, sagging double chin, and on other parts of the face, and can also improve aging problems such as neck lines, nasolabial folds, and forehead lines.

Remove Cellulite and Body Contour

Thermage is a monopolar radio frequency that stimulates dermal fibroblasts to synthesize and secrete new collagen and accelerate fat metabolism. At the same time, radio frequency energy can also deeply act on fat cells, comprehensively tighten and shape the skin, effectively improve body cellulite, and reduce arm butterfly sleeves. It is effective for treating stretch marks, repairing postpartum abdominal relaxation, and sagging thighs and buttocks

Post-Care Instructions

1. Avoid any vigorous activities, exercise or sun exposure for at least 24 hours after the treatment.

2. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours.

3. Apply ice packs or cold compresses to the treated area to reduce swelling and bruising.

4. Drink plenty of fluids to help flush out any toxins from your body.

5. Do not undergo any other facial treatments for at least two weeks after Ultherapy.

6. Contact your consultant if you experience any unexpected side effects such as severe pain or blistering.

7. Follow up with your doctor as scheduled to monitor your progress and determine if any further treatments are necessary.

How long will the results of Ultherapy last?

Most patients only need one or two treatments; however, some patients may achieve optimal results from a series of three treatments, depending on the degree of skin laxity and their body's own biological response to ultrasound and collagen-building process. The optimal results can be achieved in 2 to 6 months as collagen continues to regenerate. One treatment can last for one to two years, and subsequent Ultherapy treatments may help maintain the effect.

Benefits of Ultherapy

Customized one-on-one treatment plan is adopted to non-surgically treat the SMAS layer (fascia tissue layer) that is treated during surgical facelift. Ultherapy can achieve amazing effects of firming, lifting, and anti-aging without wounds, recovery time, and the need for multiple treatments.

Suitable Candidate

1. Ultherapy is suitable for Patients with varying degrees of skin laxity and sagging. By generating more collagen in the skin through high-intensity focused ultrasound, the skin can be restored to a tighter, more streamlined appearance for both face and body.

2. Young Patients who want to prevent aging and those who want to achieve effective improvement without surgery

What is the difference between Ultherapy and Thermage?

Anti-aging is a lifelong pursuit for women, and to achieve a youthful appearance, we must choose the most suitable treatment plan based on our own conditions. There are various anti-aging treatment plans available, and the most popular ones are Ultherapy and Thermage. Both are non-surgical facial skin treatments, but which one is more effective?

The Science Behind Ultherapy and Thermage

Ultherapy uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to penetrate the dermis and fascia layer and form nearly ten thousand coagulation points. This causes the collagen and fibers to contract and stimulates the production and recombination of new collagen fibers. This tightens and lifts the skin from the bottom, improving elasticity.

In contrast, Thermage uses monopolar radiofrequency to send a matrix molecular energy wave that vibrates up to six million times per second, transmitting high-frequency electrical energy to the skin's dermis layer, where it stimulates the release of ACMETEA and activates the regeneration of collagen and elastic fibers, forming a new collagen fiber network. This tightens and lifts the skin, achieving long-lasting results.

Treatment Depth and Temperature

Ultherapy can treat depths of 1.5mm, 3.0mm, and 4.5mm, directly reaching the dermis layer, and the skin's heating temperature can reach 60-70℃, which promotes collagen regeneration. Thermage's treatment depth is generally less than 3.0mm and can only reach the dermis layer and subcutaneous tissue. The heating temperature can reach 40-50℃, stimulating the production of collagen and effectively smoothing wrinkles.

In terms of the skin layer affected, Ultherapy is more effective in treating deeper skin layers than Thermage.

Treatment Results.

Ultherapy is more focused on lifting, and its effects on lifting the skin and improving contours are superior to Thermage. Ultherapy is also known as the ``ultimate sound wave facelift`` and is currently a popular anti-aging treatment.

Targeted Concerns

Ultherapy: targeted at lifting and tightening contours, deep tightening, and suitable for those with severe skin relaxation and sagging. It has a more significant effect on such individuals.

Thermage: targeted at wrinkles, tightening, superficial fat removal, and suitable for those with slight skin relaxation and sagging. It has a significant effect on such individuals.

Result Duration

Ultherapy: the effect of Ultherapy can generally be felt after about one to two weeks. Initially, there is a feeling of skin lifting and tightening. After about two months after surgery, with the regeneration and recombination of collagen, the regeneration of cells, and the gradual enhancement of tissue repair capabilities, regenerative connective tissue can provide lasting support. At the same time, the skin can recover its normal structure, achieving a sustained support effect. The effect can generally last for 4-5 years after multiple treatments.

Thermage: the postoperative effect of Thermage is relatively slow to show compared to Ultherapy due to the lower parameters. After about two weeks, the skin will show changes in lifting and tightening. After about three months, fine lines, smile lines, and other wrinkles will fade. However, Thermage has a significant advantage in treating small areas with rich nerves, such as fine wrinkles around the eyes, tear grooves in the orbital bottom, and marionette lines. The collagen protein sense of the skin is strong, especially the apple muscles become full. The postoperative effect can generally last for about three years.

Treatment Time

Ultherapy: generally, depending on the degree of aging of the patient's skin, performing a full-face ultrasonic knife requires about 30 minutes of anesthesia and about 60 minutes of treatment time.

Thermage: according to the standard of full-face operation, the treatment time is relatively shorter than Ultherapy, about 30-40 minutes.

Suitable Candidate

Ultherapy: Ultherapy focus on lifting and are suitable for patients with obvious signs of aging, such as deep wrinkles, eye wrinkles, and smile lines, or patients with more flesh on their faces, and are suitable for Patients with severe aging and sagging skin.

Thermage: Thermage focuses on tightening and is suitable for patients with deep eye wrinkles and severe collagen loss. It focuses on removing wrinkles, tightening, and superficial fat removal and is suitable for Patients with slight skin relaxation and sagging.

Which is better, Ultherapy or Thermage?

Ultherapy and Thermage both have good effects in reducing wrinkles and tightening, but Ultherapy tend to have more fat-burning and tightening effects, while Thermage has a relatively stronger lifting effect. Ultimately, which one to choose depends on the individual's specific situation and needs.
